The ground rules for using MedGrasp. By using the site you accept them.

NoteDraft for review

This page is a draft. It was written to say exactly what the site does today, for the owner and a lawyer to review before launch. It is not legal advice.

To be completed before launch: the business name, the registered address, the governing law, the contact email address.

Who these terms are with

These terms are between you and whoever runs MedGrasp. They apply to the website and everything on it. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.

Using MedGrasp

  • MedGrasp is free to read and needs no account.
  • Use it lawfully and for learning, teaching and your own professional development.
  • Do not use it to give or replace medical advice to a patient. Read the medical disclaimer: it is part of these terms.
  • Do not try to break, overload or bypass the site, and do not copy it in bulk by automated means. Search engines and similar services that follow the site’s robots.txt are welcome.

The text and the figures

  • Text. The words of MedGrasp’s topics are written for MedGrasp and belong to the person or company that runs it, unless a page says otherwise. You may read them, link to them, print a topic for your own study, and quote a short passage with a credit and a link. Please ask before you republish or sell a topic or a large part of one.
  • Figures. Each figure has its own credit and licence, shown under it and on the figure credits page. A figure is not covered by the paragraph above: use it only as its licence allows.
  • Facts. Facts are not owned by anyone. The sources MedGrasp relies on are named on each topic, and their own authors hold the rights in their own words and images.

If you think something on MedGrasp infringes your rights, see Copyright and takedown.

No warranty

MedGrasp is provided as it is and as it is available. Topics are checked against sources (see How we verify), but nobody promises that they are complete, correct or up to date, or that the site will always be available or free of faults.

Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, the people who run MedGrasp are not liable for any loss that comes from using the site or relying on it, including any decision about a patient. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud.

Links to other sites

Topics link to their sources and to other sites. MedGrasp does not control them and is not responsible for what they say or do.

Changes

The site and these terms may change. The date at the top shows when the terms last changed. Using the site after a change means you accept the new terms.

When accounts and Premium launch

MedGrasp has no accounts today. This section describes what will apply once accounts exist, so that you can see it beforehand. It does not describe anything the site does now.

When accounts and paid plans exist, these further terms will apply to them.

  • An account is for one person. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in safe. You must be 16 or older.
  • Reading stays free without an account. Premium adds study tools and removes ads; it never locks topics.
  • Payments are handled by a payment provider. Renewal, cancellation and refunds follow the plan you chose and the provider’s rules, which will be shown before you pay.
  • AI-made material (exams, summaries, answers) is made from MedGrasp topics by an AI model. It can be wrong. It is labelled as AI-generated, it is not medical advice, and it is for your own study.
  • We may suspend an account that breaks these terms. You can delete your account yourself at any time.
